National Police sets a service to increase safety for the foreign community in Málaga.

Málaga, 26th June 2009.- National Police has set in motion a new service through the internet to increase safety within the foreign community settled in the province of Málaga. It is based on their cooperation and guarantees a complete confidentiality and discretion from the source.

Under the motto: “For a safe Costa del Sol”, this campaign is aiming foreign citizens to cooperate in improving their safety and to prevent serious crimes to occur through contacting the internet address, malaga.costadelsol@policia.es and providing the information they have. They can use the language from their own country, since a translation service is available.

The treatment of information received through this means it will be based on guaranteeing complete confidentiality about the source.
Besides, specialized police officers will carry out an investigation regarding every particular case.


By this pioneering system, the foreigners settled in Málaga can take part in public security through this way of cooperation and integration in the area where they carry out their lives
